On-demand Video: Efficiency Meets Economy: The Power of Single-Use Chromatography in mAb Purification
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN THIS VIDEO:
- The current large-scale manufacturing of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) using conventional packed-bed column technology presents a challenge in the development of an efficient and economical downstream purification process. Conventional packed-bed capture chromatography presents a bottleneck due to low productivity and physical characteristics. An efficient and economical capture chromatography is needed to develop sustainable protein purification processes.
- Over the last two decades, technological progress in Protein A membrane chemistry has contributed to the advancement of novel and more affordable bio-separation devices with high binding capacities and improved mass transfer properties. We are testing Protein A membrane chromatography technology to develop efficient purification processes for our clients.
- Our findings from a recent case study showcased that single-use chromatographic clarification technology can increase productivity by six times at the capture step in mAb purification. These results demonstrated market competitive capabilities of Protein A membrane technology for the commercial purification of mAb products.
