Scope of this Privacy Policy 

This Privacy Policy describes how National Resilience, Inc. (Resilience,” “we,” “us,” “our”) uses, discloses, or otherwise processes personal information in connection with our websites, mobile applications, or other online services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively referred to as the “Sites”). 

Resilience is based in the United States and our Sites are intended for visitors in the United States and Canada only. As such, when you access our Sites, your personal information will be processed in the United States. By using or accessing our Sites, you acknowledge that you accept the practices detailed in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Policy, please refrain from using our Sites.

 

Personal Information Collected by Resilience

Personal Information You Provide 

We may collect Personal Information directly from you when you voluntarily provide it to us through our Sites or otherwise share it with us. This includes:

  • Personal and Business Contact Information, such as your first name, last name, postal address, email address, telephone number, job title, and employer name;
  • Professional Credentials, such as educational and work history, citizenship, date of birth, eligibility to work, institutional affiliations, and other information of the type that would be included on a resume or curriculum vitae;
  • Profile Information, such as your username and password, industry, interests, and references; 
  • Marketing Preferences, such as your preferences for receiving marketing communications; and
  • Feedback and Correspondence, such as information you provide when you report a problem with the Sites, receive customer support, or otherwise correspond with us. 

Personal Information We Automatically Collect

We may also collect Personal Information automatically using cookies or similar technologies. For example, this may include: 

  • Site usage information, such as the website you visited before browsing to our Sites, pages you viewed on our Sites, how long you spent on a page, and access times and information about your use of, and actions on our Sites; and
  • Device Information, such as device operating system name and version, manufacturer and model, browser type, browser language, and screen resolution.

How We Use your Personal Information

To administer our Sites. We use your Personal Information to give you the best possible experience on our Sites.  More specifically, we use your Personal Information to:

  • operate, maintain, administer, and improve our Sites;
  • better understand your needs and interests, and personalize your experience with the Sites;
  • provide support and maintenance for our Sites; and
  • respond to your service-related requests, questions, and feedback.

To provide you with information and communicate with you. If you request information from us, we may send you communications as permitted by law. These communications may be technical notices, updates, security alerts, support, and administrative messages and may address updates about our programs, events, or activities. For hiring purposes. Where you have provided Personal Information in relation to employment at Resilience, we may use the Personal Information you provide to consider your application for employment with Resilience.

With your consent. We may use or share your Personal Information with your consent, such as when you consent to let us post your endorsements on our Sites, or when you instruct us to take a specific action with respect to your Personal Information.

For legal compliance, fraud prevention, and safety. We use your Personal Information as we believe necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and legal processes, such as to respond to requests from government authorities. We may also use your Personal Information as we believe necessary or appropriate to (a) enforce the terms and conditions that govern use of our Sites; (b) protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property; and (c) protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical, or illegal activity.

For analytics purposes. We may use third parties, such as Google Analytics or other analytics providers, to analyze traffic to Sites. How We Share Your Personal Information

We disclose Personal Information to third parties under the following circumstances:

  • Affiliates.  We may disclose your Personal Information to our subsidiaries and corporate affiliates for purposes consistent with this Policy.

We may employ third party companies and individuals to administer and provide services on our behalf (such as training, customer support, website hosting, email delivery, and database management services). These third parties use Personal Information only as directed by us and in a manner consistent with this Policy.

We may disclose information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as required by law, and disclose and use such information as we believe necessary or appropriate to (a) comply with applicable laws and lawful requests, such as to respond to requests from government authorities; (b) enforce the terms and conditions that govern use of the Sites; (c) protect the rights, privacy, safety, or property of users of our Sites; and (d) protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical, or illegal activity.
  • Business Transfers. We may sell, transfer, or otherwise share some or all of our business or assets, including your Personal Information, in connection with a business deal (or potential business deal) such as a merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy, in which case we will make reasonable efforts to require the recipient to honor this Policy.

Resilience obtains your consent prior to enabling Functional, Performance and Analytics, and Targeting Cookies on your browser. Securing your Personal Information

Resilience uses reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to secure Personal Information you share with us. However, we cannot guarantee complete security of your Personal Information. 

Any email or other communication purporting to be from one of our Sites asking you to provide sensitive information (including medical information) via email, should be treated as unauthorized and suspicious and should be reported to us immediately by emailing privacy@resilience.com.

 

Retention

We will only retain Personal Information for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected (or for any subsequent purpose that is compatible with the original purpose). We may archive Personal Information by storing it in inactive files for a certain period prior to its final deletion, as part of our ordinary business continuity procedures. In some circumstances we may choose to anonymize your Personal Information to ensure that it can no longer be associated with you. 

 

Rights Regarding your Personal Information

Under applicable privacy laws in US and Canada, you may request that we take the following actions regarding your Personal Information:

  • Access. Provide you with information about our processing of your Personal Information and give you access to your Personal Information.
  • Correction. Update or correct inaccurate Personal Information.

In addition, residents of certain US States may also make the following requests regarding their Personal Information:

  • Deletion. Delete your Personal Information.
  • Limit the use of sensitive Personal Information. Limit the use of sensitive Personal Information that you have shared via our Sites.
  • Do not sell/share my Personal Information. Not sell or share Personal Information for cross-contextual behavioral advertising purposes.

We may require additional information to verify and process your request.  Applicable law may require or permit us to decline your request.  If we decline your request, we will inform you of such decision, subject to legal restrictions.

 

Children

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children in connection with our Sites. If we become aware that an individual under the age of 16 has provided Personal Information through our Sites, we will immediately remove the individual’s Personal Information.  We request that parents and guardians not use the Sites or email to provide us with any Personal Information concerning children.  

 

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Resilience may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. Generally, our most updated Privacy Policy will be available on this Site with no specific notice to you. However, when material changes are made to this Policy that significantly impact your privacy rights, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you of such changes and indicate as such on this Site.
